I founded The Caring Companion with a simple aim: to offer friendly, reliable and genuine support to people who may need a helping hand or simply some company.

Having spent years supporting both children and older people, caring for others has always come naturally to me. What began as a small part-time venture alongside another job has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. Today, I have a wonderful team working alongside me, allowing us to support more people and families throughout our local community.

The Caring Companion was inspired by my own family and grandparents. I have experience of supporting loved ones living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, which has given me a real understanding of how these conditions can affect not only the individual, but their whole family.

I understand just how important it is to know that someone you love has a familiar, trustworthy person there for them — whether that’s for companionship, getting out and about, shopping, appointments or simply having someone to sit and have a cup of tea with.

I believe everyone deserves to feel supported, valued and connected. We pride ourselves on offering a personal service and taking the time to get to know each person as an individual. To us, it’s not just a visit — it’s about building genuine relationships and making everyday life that little bit easier.

I’m so proud of how The Caring Companion has grown and very grateful to the families who trust us to support the people they love.
